Baby Stonefish
Anyone rear fresh water stone fish before? what's the requirement..

only one species is freshwater(from south america) the rest are salt/brackish.

reminder for people buying stonefish.....the ones you see in lfs are 99% going to be brackish not freshwater species unless its Thalassophryne amazonica and theres only about 3 shops that you'll be able to find them at.they are not common so its not brought in often.within the past year there was quite a few at 328 and nks and a very long time(few years) ago at cf i think.if your not sure price is a good indication as those brackish ones are cheap but the amazonicus will cost you about $40 + or - for 1-3inch specimen.

Kept before. Purchased for $8. Never saw it eat. One of its fin bitten by guppies. So, be careful what fish you keep it with. In the end, put it in my friend's pond. Diet is ghost shrimps.

i do saw some stonefishs ard 3inch at seaview. Look quite unique but doesn't know much about this fish so didn't get any instead.
