Default Dicrossus filamentosus.

all time favourites.. bought 8 from the recent batch in c328 for my 422 planted..

they are tiny, roughly 1inch big..

google dicrossus filamentosus and there are tons of infos on them. generally, do need similar water parameters to apistogrammas..

at first catch 4 only.. but think 4 cant see.. so bought 8.. they are those kind of open air bottom dwellers.. they hang around my HC in a group of 3 or 4.. very cute to see..

Yeah always thought of keeping them in a 2 footer

Saw them at C328. At this age can't sex them right? Are they fussy eaters?

i used to keep some in a 2ft tank too.. yup, at this age cant sex them.. but can see abit of color at fin area.. i try to choose some with colors and some without to make sure i have good mix of males and females.. and no, they are not fussy eaters.. eat pellets and frozen food straight away..

Cool..thought I read somewhere they were fussy eaters...or maybe its not them. There is another very similar one...C.Maculatus or something? But I think this is the nicer one..lyretail cichlid right?

Do you know if they nip fins?

Very cute pieces, do pump them up! They are indeed one of the most interesting dwarf cichlids around. Love their feisty character
