my aros got constant suplly of food,so far havent disturb the ray yet..they just look at him..another thing..how to tell male from female for rays??

male rays will have claspers beside the tail. 2 rolled thing protruding from anac fin in the same direction as the tail. female rays dun have this. the claspers can be clearly seen for bigger, matured rays. for small rays, u'll have to flip it over or bag it and carry it over ur head to see.

i notice it has sort of small wings(claspers?) beside the tail??helps it to move from here to there..would that be an indication of it male??sorry very new to this

For a hobbist male or female not that important.

The so call wings,if u look closely,if there are two tube like thing
that will be the claspers.If there aint any then its a female

think mine is male..anyway i bought those small catfish e..so far the ray didnt take much intreast in them..i will monitor for a day..c wat happens..
