male rays will have claspers beside the tail. 2 rolled thing protruding from anac fin in the same direction as the tail. female rays dun have this. the claspers can be clearly seen for bigger, matured rays. for small rays, u'll have to flip it over or bag it and carry it over ur head to see.

think mine is male..anyway i bought those small catfish e..so far the ray didnt take much intreast in them..i will monitor for a day..c wat happens..
