I also think so, but this female throw eggs several times but the eggs seems something wrong. Fertility rate very low. I will try to breed her one more time and see if got any luck this time.

The avatar fish is much smaller than this female fish even though they come from the same parents and same batch. 8½” as compared to 6”.

Quite surprise they share the same parentage, they look pretty different.

I hope they look better than this fella :
but with the following variation.
1. slightly thicker and broader tail
2. slightly straighter, longer and broader dorsal fin
3. slightly longer and broader fins
4. the tail angle of the top to be 10 degrees higher
5. slightly higher hood
6. slightly bigger checks
7. the arch between the apex of its body to the tail joint to be more curved
8. the colour to be charcoal black
9. the scales to be a little more neatly lined
10. slightly fuller stomach

This is the father picture taken from the Goldfish Festival 2007 at the Serangoon CC:


These are the children from the same parents, same batch and hatch on the 17th November 2007: All pictures are taken from bros/sis posting in the forum and from the recently concluded Goldfish Festival 2008 at the Serangoon CC.

Length of fish is 12cm


Length of fish is 19cm


Length of fish is 14cm
