Default Ornate Bichir Aggression (Advise)

Hi Guys,

I got 2 Endi, 1 Delh and 1 Ornate.

All of them should be around 18" while the Delh is only around 10"

My Ornate is being aggressive lately and already bitten the other 3 Bichir's tail into very bad shape.

They have been together for more than 6 months.

They are well fed.

Any reason why this is happening?

I see many bros here keep many Bichirs together but i am only keeping 4 and i am having this issue. =(

Please advise.
Thank you

Hi bro, sometimes keeping fishes depends on luck too. They have different characteristics like human beings too.

My suggestion to you is to separate them out asap and keep the ornate together with other bigger fishes which can fend for themselves only.

Alternatively you can try putting in more hide outs for them...but that Del is better to take it out due to too much difference in size...

I agree bro. But the only way is to sell the ornate if thats the case coz its the only tank i have that can keep them. The ornate is the same size as the other 2 Endi but they only know how to run and dont fight back one.

mine is actually a bare tank not sure if i wanna add stuff to the tank.
As for the Del, he is sustaining the same damage as the Endi that is also being bullied. Maybe removing the Ornate is the only way left.
