Tried the following glasses:
- Nikon Macro 105mm VR ... heavy ... take endlers or tetras will faint ..
- Nikon Macro 60mm adult aros perfect .. smaller fellas .. very hard ...
- Tamron macro 90mm ... light, easy to hold ... dun have VR leh ...

I'm using Tamron 17-50 F2.8 for most shots
- Tried Nikon 18-55 F2.8 ... too heavy ... sold it away ... sharpness is not exagerating over tamron ... but colours r slightly more vibrant ... PP can settle it ...

Tele lenses
- Nikons are still better than 3rd parties .... 70-200 VR ... dun have built in tripod collar ... i usually use the collar as grips for firmer grip at 200mm end ...
- 80-200 F2.8 has built in collar ... but M-A switch is known to be brittle ... but I seldom use M ... so not an issue for me ..

What is the minimum focal distance for your 17-50 ? I believed it work well in LFS when space is a problem.

In terms of user friendly and lens costs of certain focal lengths ... CANON rocks ...

I love Nikon lights and ED glasses ...

so either camps ... u cant be wrong ...

Most people talked about glass and body ... how about accessories like filters?
- B+W CPL versus Hoya HMC HD CPL (Slim)

Image quality near identical ... the later is costlier and supposely harder than B+W ... slim version as well ... B+W CPL KSM is beyond reach of most people ...
