i no expert, but after spending quite a bit on this fish, buyiing that is, the males are the super colorful ones with the long pointed dorsals and caudals.
females tend to be a bit jaded and the fins rounder.
my own personal observation.
u can see more differentiation when they grow bigger.

btw , if u intend to breed, cannot pair 2 same electric blue hor.

Wow bro thanks for ur advise! Anyway heard from reliable source that they max out 4-6".. That's the only down side.. Was hoping it can hit 8-10"! anyway this fella just contracted the case of the spots! Salt and heater in!
