Breeding question
How long does it take for u guys on avg for ur bettas to spawn after u put them in the same tank? My pair has been put together for almost 24 hours alrdy, still no action

This depends on how ready are your spawning pair, tank breeding setup and their mood for love. Within 3 days should spawn. Can u show us your spawning tank setup so that we can advice you accordingly. Thanks.

It depends on how well conditioned the pair is.
Some can mate within 24 hours, some a few days. Some will never. |

For a well conditioned pair, usually I will release the female at night. by around 8-10am the next day, it will spawn. I will generally give the pair a maximum of 3 days if it the "magic" did not happen by the next day.

My pair in the tank together for weeks liao. No action. Swim side by side like old couple

Max 5 days if not severe injuries. Usually they will breed by next day or by 3rd day.
Most likely won't breed, have seen a pair at a friend's place that stay peacefully too, no breeding occurs. One possible reason is that they are old already. |

From my own experience, 4 to 6 months is prime, beyond that still can breed though. I find them most healthy n active during this period.
Others may have difference experience. |
