Default queries for cycling tank

hi i have new tank 5x.2.5x2 feet. approximately 190gallons i will transfer my RTG with this new tank. im planning to fill up water half only of the tank. i will be using trickle filter and used media. how many days i will cycle before i can transfer the fish? because im converting the one im using now to sump,,thanks in advance

Technically if you use matured media should be able to put the fish in straight. But to be safe, maybe just put in some commandos in for a few days and test for ammonia and nitrites to be safe.

Thanks bro when i finish the sump can i used it straight away with new medias?

I have 50gallons tank where the aro is. I need to transfer the aro to the new tank so i will make the 50g to sump. Then when i finish the 50g sump can i use it straight with new medias?

You can transfer your old tank's sponge to the new tank it will help to speed up process

You will need to rinse the new sump if you used silicon to glue the partitions and allow it to cure first.
