Since you have the budget, money is not a problem.
Thing to look into now is space and also really depends on the plants and fauna you want to keep.. Do keep in mind that chiller will produce heat and your room will be slightly warmer. Next to consider is what you want to keep, CRS type of shrimps, better get chiller, if wanna keep nice moss, better get chiller. if you are not getting the above 2, I think most plants and fishes can survive without chiller. Just FYI, my planted tank temperature is about 30 degrees.. :P |

i use a fan and water temperature is always around 26degrees have no problem growing most plants i do discover some plants do thrive better in cooler waters 22-24degrees for example, willow moss (fontinalis antipyretica) might turn brown in >24degrees |

Chiller for the win man. I see my shrimps and plants growing much better. But have to constantly wipe the tank surface condensation.

It will be better for shrimps and plants growth rate, but the heat from the chiller and the condensation on your glass will need some attention.
I have a 4.5ft tank with commercial type of air-con unit with cooling coil, so no heat issue and they are much powerful. Fast to chill down the temperature, also lower running cost than normal chiller. |
