Talk is cheap and easy but the responsibility behind those words can weigh more than the person can bear

I don’t think anyone has tried cutting the finlets and showing proof that it can grow back straight here. Anything else it’s all hearsay and speculation.
If so, I don’t think it’s right to say that it will grow back straight for sure, especially since we know hat straight finlets have gone crooked for some and this points to a genetic defect that I think is not solved easily by trimming the finlets.

Just my 2 cents

But I heard that someone told 328 can cut away the finlets and they will grow back. Did that SOMEONE tried it himself/herself? How did the finlets grow back?
Someone actually told Aunty that ?

Let's wait for another 1 month or so to see if this is true

Ya true. When people here that the crooked dorsals can be trimmed, even those very crooked pieces might be bagged home and only later on realize that they're stuck with that piece and can't do anything about it.

I understand your frustration, hope to hear some good news.
Hope so.

Hope you don't mind. I used your image as a reference to Dr Chua:

Hi Dr Chua,

Recently, there was this batch of bichirs which are having defective finlets. From the front view, some of them are straight, while others are slanted to either the left or the right. Some people are saying that by cutting them away, it is possible for those spines to grow back straight. Is it possible?

Here is an image of the condition of someone's fish:

This is how a dorsal finlet of a bichir is structured:

Regards,
Edwin

Actually come to think of it...no one is forcing anyone to cut...if people say cut own curly hair grow out will become straight then those people with curly hair who wants straight hair go and anyhow cut...confirm disaster manz..

Not important?? Then if like that how to trace the person who gave this info and find out whether true or not??

If it's just another hearsay, then just take it with a pinch of salt just like when ppl say drop eye in aros can be cured by putting in FGT
