Default RedSea NO3:PO4-X - suitable for freshwater?

Hi

Just bought a bottle of the above to try on my freshwater tank set-up (mainly goldfishes). Although the instruction mainly refers to marine set-up, it did not mention anything nor against use for freshwater. Just wonder has anyone ever try on freshwater or is it adviceable to try it in the first place? Thanks & wishing you a merry x'mas and happy new year. Cheers.

It will not work as it needs a skimmer to remove the NO2, which even if you install in a freshwater system, it cannot bind...
