Default help

any advice on what i should do?

currently my betta is:
not moving around much, usually just staying at a spot.
darts around at the back when i approach the tank.
color has turned pale.
when i try to feed, he looks at the pellet but ignores it.

about the pellet, previously i was feeding some randomly bought pellet, and it seems to make him constipated.
did the pea treatment and he's cleared and no longer bloated.
changed to hikari bio gold, and initially he cant seem to swallow it. and soon after he started behaving like above. tried feeding the old pellets and he doesn't eat also

should i try feeding him freeze dried foods? if so which would you guys recommend?
or should i try another pellet like atison betta pro?

currently using aquamedi's guardian and betta essence to condition the water. by any chance is guardian not good? cause i notice quite a strong chemical smell from it

I'm not an expert, but it might seem your betta is slightly sick.

Do a change of water, add abit of aquarium salt. Stop feeding for 1-2 days.

In the mean time, try to interact with with your finger, and keep the tank warm.

Food wise, bettas are not picky eaters so feeding those pellets that fit his mouth, i used to feed saki-hikari goldfish pellets for my bettas. you can google.

may i know how big is your tank?

Might be velvet or oodinium. Shine a torch on the fish. If the fish looks dusty, then it might be the case. Change the water, treat it with marine salt and keep your fingers crossed.
