whether it good or not i think it depends on the user expectations. however, if it's no good, 1 of the SRC moderators will not b using till now. another mod will b getting it soon.
power consumption will hav 2 depend on the HP.
reliable? yes!
pricing is good, 1/2 hp cost abt $1200. i believe i can strike a better deal 4 u if u interested.
noise level-it wont bother u, trust me.
spares-local products, local spares, easily available.
the most important, servicing-the maker will come 2 ur place. shd ur chiller need 2 leave ur hse, a unit will b loan 2 u at no cost.
Hey bro ask u ah. a .75HP was reccomended. So whats the Diff between a 0.75hp and a 1/2hp? thanks.

hi buddy, the no. is the maker's, not me...

anyway, i think he recommended .75hp is thru his experience n not base on calculations(i might b wrong). but considering urs is a 6 footer n u r using 700++W of lightings, wif 500++W comes fr intense lightings, he is recommending the higher hp chiller.

wat's the difference is simply a .75hp will cool ur tk much faster than a .5hp.

oh okay. so the diff in the HP is mainly how fast the chiller will cool the tank?

yap.. but i hav placed a fan on top 2 blow out the hot air. no problem. due to the placement of my tk, there is no place outside the cabinet 4 my chiller.

hmm cos i was thinking of putting the chiller in the tank cabinet as well. As placement of my tank also restricts me from leaving the chiller in the open.
Now need to see where can install the fans to blow the hot air out.
Cos my cabinet ah is not a complete cabinet type. Mine is cabinet center are shelves then followed by another cabinet.
U can see what i mean from my pics in gallery under http://www.arofanatics.com/members/l...ybigtank6x2x2/

i cant really c fr the pics. most of them r showing ur canopy.

anyway, both sides of my cabinet hav ventilations. if urs is the same, juz make sure u hav something like a fan 2 direct the hot air out.
