Well Scholes lasted one month and managed one win out of seven. Talks a lot about others but wondered why he couldn't perform himself. Guess he will be back as a pundit again and tell other managers what they should do for their teams.
MANCHESTER UNITED legend Paul Scholes has resigned as manager of Oldham. The former midfielder was appointed as manager of the club on February 11, meaning he has only lasted just over a month in the hot-seat. Scholes took charge of his boyhood club looking to drive them up the League Two table. One of the specific requests he made upon arrival was that the first team would not be interrupted by Abdallah Lemsagam. The Moroccan football agent took over at Boundary Park in January 2018 from Simon Corney. Scholes managed just one win. lost three and drew three from his seven matches in charge. That came on his debut at home to Yeovil, when they ran out 4-1 winners. The former Manchester United midfielder hinted of a disagreement with the board and that he was not left to manage alone as he was promised. “It is with great regret that I have decided to leave the club with immediate effect. “I hoped to at the very least, see out my initial term of 18 months as the manager of a club I’ve supported all my life. The fans, players, my friends and family all knew how proud and excited I was to take this role. “In the short period since I took on the role it unfortunately became clear that I would not be able to operate as I intended and was led to believe prior to taking on the role. “I wish the fans, the players and the staff - who have been tremendous - all the best for the rest of the season and will continue to watch and support the club as a fan.” Last edited by KeeHuat; 15-03-2019 at 02:40 AM. |

We already had an unexpectedly wonderful ride with Ole at the helm when we can only dream of just 3 months or so ago. Just hope the team plays well in all the remaining games to come...last I know, lots gave us no hope against PSG n hope they still feel the same way Just enjoy the ride... |
