Default Suggestion on keeping what kind of fish..

I will be away for some time soon..I don't want to leave my tanks empty with water..Any advice on keeping what kind of fish which can go through without WC (only top up water) and just simple feeding only, for at least half year..

Was thinking to go for some guppies..but then my tank is relatively too big for guppies since they are 5ft and 3ft..Any other suggestion?

.... been through these situations before.. and still in one currently...

.... with WC, only top up water.... is only feasible if livestock is very low, with minimal feeding... e.g. 6 SD or Pacus for the 5ft tank, feed once every 3-4 days.... also advisable to have some hardy plants in there, e.g. Nanas on DW...

.... if only top up water and no WC, still need a way to keep the NO3/NO2 in check.... the plants will not eliminate the high NO3, but will at least buffer it for a while....

mine ran without plants... but livestock slowly dying off one by one..... unless got higher-end equipment, e.g. denitrator, else the livestock sure get affected by the accumulated NO3...

... if u r confident in your filter, then stock up just enough for your filter to handle the nitrates....
