Why phones becoming hot ?
Sometime my Samsung note 3 becomes hot? Why? Too many apps running? Or is it faulty and going to explode?

Highly possible is the battery problem.
Advisable to get a new battery. Not worth the risk |

Sorry Note 5 not Note 3 . The battery is original one that came with the phone. Just occasionally it will be hot and battery power drained out. Most of the time, it is normal. Could it be that once in a while, it likes to be discharged of power, in the process becoming hot?

Batt cost est 103 with service charge total 135. Warranty only 1 mth. I got a N5 as well, morning full charge, at night left 20%. Even not using can see % dropping.
Phone need to leave at service centre and collect few days later. Anyway I decide not to proceed. |

Battery getting old, drained easily.
Most of the time this occurs after an update in firmware. |

Check data usage of respective apps
Then battery power usage I found screen lighting/intensity to be biggest culprit Second and third were apps for instagram and flickr with whatever background sh!t they were running behind my back

Note 5 user too.
The first Android 7.0 sent my N5 into coma when after the firmware update, battery life became a problem and SIM slot went haywire too, not being able to recognize the SIM card. Many attempts at factory reset didn't help either. I left the phone aside, thinking it's doomed, until many months later I decided to give it another go. I updated whatever firmware that's offered and it read the SIM card though battery life was still not good. Only the latest firmware (was it last week or so?) seems to really help. Noticed the battery doesn't drain off that quickly these days. Phone is sometimes hot like when I'm trying to scan for network before I hit the causeway. And also when I charge it using a wireless charging pad, but not always, I noticed. |
