Do you have any other snails in the tank? Do the assassin snails go for those too?

In the past and thats the reason why i got them in the first place, they had been with me for so long and no snail infestation other them, but definitely no signs of reproducing which means either they are of same sex or eggs were gone even before getting the chance to hatch.

my temp is normal room temp, no chiller or aircon. its a strange tank that seems to be able to really breed shrimps, crays and snails v.well. happened by accident where i dumped 9 cherries inside, now there are like 200 lol. so i just added a cray and its loving it there too.

Haven't got any other parameters as i din bother to take readings. ermm i use black ada soil as base, have quick growing plants to soak up ammonia. think the snails like the substrate as they always burrow inside. i have some charcoal too, other than that, just a top filter with cotton inside.

ya sex matters for these snails as they aren't hermaphrodites. Here is a link i quickly googled http://homepage.mac.com/nmonks/Projects/cleahelena.html

My concern is whether they will go for my smaller horned nerites. Anyone experienced assassin snails attacking horned nerites?
