thanks... yes will keep monitoring~ not much update, remove K1 media, cos no longer using the filter box. very problemtic. lower water by 30 % no need that much water imo. added two sponge filter.. all shrimps are well and active, chiller kick in lower and reduce usage.. killing two birds with one stone eh??

however my tank have a pungent smell anyone know how to solve it? very smelly..

Why is the K1 media box very problemtic?

Never come across very smelly tank I suppose you are doing about 10% water change every week or alternate weeks?

ya cos my filter suck in from there, the water always decrease to a certain poin where my filter cant suck enough. i using two pipes to transfer the water, no over flow, i change my design and now gonna stick with it. simple and easy.

ya doing 10 % every week or twice a week if i am free. but cant seem to get rid of it. the smell is from sponge, both sponge filter and the sponge to block shrimps getting suck inside the canister..
