I will feel very sad if I have a father like him
Put his whole family to suffer for his personal belief

No matter who n what our father is n do ...
We shall n must be proud ...
I dont think those children of our Garment's party polytic will all feel proud lo .. they will have their own problems , sometime i think they all also LL - got to listen n do what their polytic parents tell them to do lo ...
In that i feel more sad for them la ...

Very true - am sure some of these children feel so "restricted" that they wished their parents were just ordinary folks too

I will be very proud if my dad has his ressilient, itelligence, aspirations and convictions, just that i am orphan to begin with..

What is the term coined as sufering? His children have much more than what i had when i was living in 1 room flat, working at age of 7 to delivered morning papers and send milk to household.

Material possession or luxury living is never and can not be the yardstick or measurement for true family happiness.

When you mentioned that the family is going thru suffering due to his pursuant of his personnal belief... or do they share his belief too? Maybe there is not much material wealth but what makes up for it is the immerse love they share thu out the family that bond together more then some other more financially more affluent family.

The choice of how one choose to live their life rest on their own hands, having lesser of thing does not necessarily equates to suffering.

They are in the current predicament due to the hideous face of singapore judicial system... living to the fullest against all difficult circumstances in life for the ideals he hold is far more than just admirable, it surpassed standards of modern day democracies .....

There are people who earn $2k is enough and you have the DisGraceFul who proclaimed her $70K a month salary is undermining her life and her worth....
