Bro, just a little query, if it is going to be a high tech, would you be introducing some rooted plants or plants that would benefit from the lights as well as CO2?
If not, it seems a little pity to be on high tech As for the soil, i believe bro evo is only suggesting some better quality soil. That is what i am doing as well...I am not condemning ada soil as i am using it for one of my tank and my plants are growing well also. Just that as we encounter something better, i just tot of sharing, really no harm or criticising.. no offence lets move this topic to the soil section then But non the less...i am following your thread closely for updates...its very nicely setup! Personally I feel that the use of stem plants will block the shape of the main stone and affect the overall scape. The purpose of a high-tech tank does not mean that you can't use plants which does not benefit as much from a high-tech tank. The plant choice should fit the scape and all plants will benefit from CO2 addition and ferts. __________________ Mizu World - Understanding your Aquatic Needs Web: http://www.mizuworld.com Email: enquiry@mizuworld.com Contact: +6597857957 (Ben) |

Think it will be better to let ur UG get a firm hold of the soil b4 u introduce any livestocks. Nvr had any luck with growing UG. Hope to see more updates on the the growth of this tank. I personally find the appearance (in terms of the size of the grain) of ada nicer and more natural than other soil.

I'll continue to update the tank from time to time. __________________ Mizu World - Understanding your Aquatic Needs Web: http://www.mizuworld.com Email: enquiry@mizuworld.com Contact: +6597857957 (Ben) |
