Cannister filter for FGT
Thinking of adding an external canister for my FGT. As the FGT is on floor level does it affect the canister working operation.
I mean can it still work as there's no gravity pull. Any bros using canister please share as I have not purchase yet due to this concern. Thanks in advance. |

Hi Bro the problem will be priming your canister. If you can somehow prime 100% then no problem but my own experience is that is impossible without a gravity siphon. My solution is to use a canister like a eheim 2260 that runs an external universal pump. Even then make sure that the canister outlet is below the water level of your fgt. Good luck!!

Have found this canister brand GEX model 9012 suitable and more pocket friendly. It can be use even at same level due to pump design not with canister.
