Default Freshwater Moray EEl

Hi guys,

Do any of you here keep this EEL.. Wonder where can i find.. And Is it Blackish or pure freshwater...

never heard of freshwater or even brackish water moray... only know that this are sea living creature..

they are pretty seasonal fishes, comes in at certain times of the year. slightly brackish recommended.

A moray eel would be very cool to have. I don't mind keeping them too. My concern is, will they thrive in a less than pure saltwater environment?

Depends on the species... the one shown in the pic above (G. tile) will do well in a brackish environment.

Used to keep a G. tile in a freshwater environment... it was very inactive and refused to eat. After mixing in some seawater, its appetite improved tremendously and became alot more active.

and eventually, you should have them in full strength saltwater.

Suggest U give Sheng Siong Supermarkets a visit. They do have stocks @ times.
Of course, they sell them live. People do buy them to eat. Last sighted @ the branch in Khatib, few weeks back. Affirmative is moral eel. Good luck in your hunt!
