Smile Kopi Guu Yuu

Been in love with this old style kopitiam since being recommended by a brother in June.

Oldest barista in Singapore, 83 years old kopikia.

Old charcoal burner for brewing drinks and toasting bread.
Grandpa Chinese bread cut with precision by themselves, not sliced modern bread.

Best toast I can find in Singapore and Malaysia.

Butter coffee. Kopi Guu Yuu

Perfect steamed bread.
Fluffy soft pillows.

Kopi O ice ball (Sng Kiu Kopi O)
Off menu item, DIY.

Yup.

Hup Lee at Veerasamy/Jln Besar pedestrian crossing lights.

Here are the photos I took in their last week of biz.

Their last day I saw the family gathering at night behind their closed collapsible metal gate. Regret not stopping car and taking photos.
That would have been a poignant historical photo.
