Freshwater Moray Eel (Gymnothorax polyuranodon).
Freshwater Moray Eel (Gymnothorax polyuranodon).
Indonesian wild caught via Bangkok, now SG PR Lfs called it Tiger Eel, but that's a midnomer. Correct common names "Freshwater moray", "Many toothed moray", or the "Spotted freshwater moray eel".

They are super escape artists just like octopuses. Please tightly cover all crevices.

Got a few many years back, but they couldn't survive in pure freshwater.. Imo, add some salt, for brackish setup..

nice catch. yup, kept a few before. They are indeed great escape artists and actually do better in brackish setup.
How big is this piece by the way? |
