Tips for breeding L134..
been keepin my 17pcs L134 for abt 3yrs in 4x2x1.5 tank wif many caves and dw.. filter consist 2 x eheim 2028 and 1 ohf... sex ratio 10m7f... trappin is seen but no luck over e past yr.. hopefully pleco sifu here can teach 1 or 2 to help me..
i split e group into 2 separate 4x2x1.5 tank.. tank1 consist 4m4f and tank2 consist 6m3f.. 1) females look plump plump and healthy but y trappin oni never lay eggs?? 2) if there trappin in my tank, is it consider my water condition suitable for breedin them?? 3) plannin to add another 3-4 mature female to tank2 or increase number female to male ratio for both tank.. wat is e ideal sex ratio?? |

Sex ratio dont really play a important part . Just try your luck and match and play . If they like each other . 10 m 1 f also can breed .
My L134 combo is 7 m 2 f but they still breed regularly . I think must important is not to disturb the tank . Good chance they are way too happy to be breeding Try not feeding them too much daily , let them suffer a little . Maybe for a month or 2 , then do WC x alot of times and also feed them a mix of food . This may do the job with a few stroke of rain from heaven . The most difficult part is making them start . After which the rest they will handle on their own |

Seanaw, I have heard from a German aquarist who 1st bred them(and whom also collect them at location) they actually prefer tank that has minimum current flow for breeding, much like their natural habitat which is pretty still waters catchment. Might wanna have go
