used to feed my feeder goldfish with those 'red colour' worms from the lfs.... many many years ago.. but i believe live food got its pro and con.. might contain bacteria that could harm the goldfish.. |

Live Feed.
Of live feed, I would rank worms as the worst, in term of the amount of bact and parasites they carry. Live blood worm would be better if the water could be change a couple of times before they're feed to the goldfish, but they're still a risk.
I would only risk feeding Brine Strimp to my goldfish. These are usually cultivated from clean fresh water ( I believe ) either by the LFS or yourself. The other live feed I provide the gf are frozen Hikari Blood Worms, those packaging that state that it has gone thru 3 stage of sterilization . |
