Results for 9th National Flowerhorn Competition
Congratulations To All The Prize-Winners!!! Before I post the results for this competition, I would like to apologise to all the prize-winners for not being able to get the certificates on time for our prize presentation. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to abide by the main event organizer’s schedule and as a result our judging session had to be held at a later time compared to all our previous competitions. It took 4 and a half hours for the judges to finish the scoring of all the fishes and by the time they finished their work at 10.30pm, we could not carry on with the tabulation of the scores because the venue staff had to switch off all the lights and locked up the place. We then moved to a hotel room to input all the scores into our PC which took 2 hours to complete and another half an hour for us to countercheck the final results against the 3 judges’ scores. By the time we got the final results, it was almost 2am in the morning and we still have more work to do - taking pictures of the prize-winning fishes which can only be done when the exhibition hall reopens at 10.30am. It took us almost an hour to take photographs of the prize-winning fishes and another 3 hours to finish all the artworks for the 20 certificates by which time the printing shop had closed for the day (the shop open only half day on Saturday and is closed on Sunday). I have provided the details on the whole process of producing the competition certificates so that those who are not involved in the work will have a better understanding on how much time and effort are required and I hope the winners will appreciate and cherish what they are getting. The certificates are currently under production (printing and lamination) and we will arrange with the winners on the best way to deliver the certificates to them. As a gesture of goodwill to make up for any inconvenience caused to the winners due to the delay in producing the certificates, we had given out some fish products to all the winners during yesterday’s prize presentation (this was not stated in the original prizes list). Hope all of you are happy with the prizes you received and we thank you once again for your support and understanding. |
