I paid $5 for the Maglev fans. Again, at SLT those fans are most likely extra stock from somewhere. You cannot find the whole range of fans available. I was looking for small fans to mount on my HOB filter and they happened to have the Sunnon Maglev. So only can try your luck!

Anyone else knows where to find shops that carry full range of such fans?

Only this type of special fan based on air-con blade design is silent.

I am using one of these

Thermaltake 120mm thunderblade
http://www.thermaltake.com/product/D...derblade90.asp
Single fan ...on a 2.5ft tank runs the temp about 27-28
Quiet enough for me at 21db .... my tank is in my hall next to my TV area ... never had problem with noisy fans

Is you want something even more quiet at 16db and much higher air flow
http://www.thermaltake.com/product/D...2329/a2329.asp
http://www.thermaltake.com/product/D...2330/a2330.asp

But they are not cheap .. :P Everything comes with a price tag

Strange, I use 4 large fans for 2ft. And the lowest I can get is only 28 degrees.
Maybe my location is too warm and ventilation not good.

I'm using one large fan for a 3ft. My lowest is 25C. My tank is in the living room and next to windows. I tied my fan face parallel with the water level. Not sure if its the angle that's causing you to have 28C despite having 4 large fans.
