You can have as much as u like but just need to upgrade ur filtration and change water more often. I used to have 13 15in aros, 1 18in sbkm, 2 13in Pdr, gar, FF, sucker, discus in a 6x2.5x2.5. I do 80% water change 3G a week in addition to a 5 feet sump

i have two similiar tanks. I keep 1 mid size aro , 20 adult discus n 4 10in rays. weekly water change 20%. so far striving well, but with about 20kg of biohomm+ and 20kg eheim substrate pro.

hmmm...... how many fish is too much ? imy tank is 7ft x 2.5ft x 2.5ft with 3ft sump n i got 16 red devil, 5 aro, 3 African cichlids, 1 jaguar cichlid , 1 gar & 5 other fish , so if the fish is living n eating well it mean bioload is ok ?

if u intend to keep many fishes,
just remember to change water regularly and don't overfeed cos fishes in the wild don't get to eat all the time, and they r still doing fine.. and lastly oso yr media..cheers.. |

if you are keeping expensive fish, i will suggest that you do not stretch your bioload to the limit so as to allow you certain margin of safety.
