A further read... i quit reading further after this. CRAP! One sided!

So, you see, the Singapore government wants to have a First World economy and First World costs. However, they run Singapore on a Third World government and Third World press, while paying Singaporeans Third World wages and force us to accept a Third World purchasing power. They also make us pay for First World health prices, university tuition fees and transport fares but they give us Third World government subsidies and Third World social protection – so the Singapore government pays us Third World subsidies but they collect from us First World tax and CPF.

Meanwhile, Singapore has now become so unequal that we have a Third World income inequality and Third World poverty. The richest in Singapore, including the Singapore government pays themselves First World (or out-of-the-world) salaries but allows themselves to pay Third World tax and CPF, yet force Singaporeans to pay First World tax and CPF. They also force Singaporeans to work Third World hours and have Third World livelihoods. Today, Singapore has a Third World society.
His THIRD WORLD MINDSET rather.

I may not like PAP, and am absolute non PAP voter (won't change my long held decision to deny them the 2/3 majority), but I won't agree that we have 3rd world government. If they are 3rd world, we won't have majority (60.1%) voting for them. Unless he is implying these 60.1% are stupid and blind. To be fair, Singapore has done well as compared to many countries.

He further crap on:
- Third World wages
- Third World purchasing power
- First World tax and CPF
- Third World income inequality and Third World poverty

Show us the evidence of his claims. Wages, we are better than a lot of our neighbours, yet cost of living are low. Compare this, same kind of job, same kind of pay, but cheaper meals, is this called 3rd world wages 3rd world purchasing power?

First world tax and CPF? His other chart he shared from KPMG is so tiny, can't even see what he was comparing. But from the MANY COUNTRIES listed in the chart, we are definitely lower in our taxes and CPF combined.

3rd world income inequality? 1% of American's wealthiest control all the wealth. That's inequality.

Where are our 3rd world poverty? Why don't he cite real figures/stats?

-------------------------------

I wait and see if he chicken out and retract, or see what LHL do.

Lorkon, same name as you... save him.... don't happen to be ur alter ego right? Bin bo siang leh...

SINGAPORE - Blogger Roy Ngerng has removed a blog post accusing the Government of "misappropriating" CPF funds, a day after he was asked to do so by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's lawyer.

The health-care worker said he took down the blog post on Monday night, but is still deciding how he should respond to a letter of demand sent to him from Mr Lee's lawyer.

Mr Ngerng said on Tuesday his lawyer M. Ravi would be meeting with Mr Lee's lawyers to discuss the issue.

In the meantime, he has published another blog post with the headline Your CPF: The Complete Truth And Nothing But The Truth, which he said would show Singaporeans "once and for all" how CPF funds are being used.

Much as i dont support cpf's ever shifting goalposts, he is wrong imo to use it creatively in his tirades.

This CPF topic were discussed quite much lately and despite the many info shared by some, it remains 'unclear' to others. The many CPF accounts were mostly explained in that thread.

I do agree to the "let the e ppl decide" model. But than we will see a new wave of b!tches who finish squandering their money, some throwing it at CMM, will come kpkb on "no save guard" or expecting welfare, once they finish their money.

agreed with you !

individual has right to his own money.

cpf should at age 55 ..allow individual choose . If draw full sum, the individual should sign it and say that they must NOT ask govt for welfare - directly or indirectly.

next thing we know is 55 year old individual start complaining to MAS on financial advisors framework on cheating their cpf monies on lost unit trusts funds, etc
