Floor Loading for a 2 tier 5x2x2
Hi,
Anyone can share what is the standard floor loading requirement for private house. I recently set up a 2 tier 5x2x2 in my study and then realise the tank set is quite near my daughter's bed a floor below. I have no drawings of any sort for the house : electrical, floor plan. Where and how can I get them? Thank you in advance, CH |

Bro Spyder, i think CH is referring to a private landed property.
CH, If that is the case, you may like to refer to your previous owner to see if they have the architech plan. If it is a newly built house, for sure they will have a copy. |

Thanks.
I stayed there almost 20 years, the previous owner don't know where to find already. I wonder if URA or some other governmental agencies would have the plans. Anyone any idea? |

i THINK generally safe having 5x2x2 (2 tier) in singapore due to our strict building code.
either constantly look out for cracks above your daughter's bed or just change the locaiton of the tanks. i'm sure you know what's best |

Anybro know about HDB loading? I read from the HDB website which state 1.5KN/m2... That is 150kg/m2 right? That mean if 3 adult standing within the area of 1 m2 is not save as the total weight will be about 180kg ~ 200Kg..
Base on TS, 5x2x2 with 2 tier estimate about 1 ton.. If the tank c/w 6 stand then est about 167Kg loading per stand. Will it be save? any bro here tried like 5x2.5x2.5 2 tier? or bigger? |

IMHO. Unless you can find the previous owner or contractor to provide with the drawings on the loading, you might need a civil PE to do some calculation on the load bearing for the floor for your tanks. Of course engaging the PE for calculations will add on to your costs...

2tier 522 shouldn't be a problem bro. I used to have 2tier 5x2.5x2 and 1 522 tank total 3tank at 3rd floor also no problem. If want to play save, place it near the support structure column beam...
