Default 100% Pellets for Arowanas

hi bros,
Would like to find out if there are any side effects of putting a arowana through a 100% pellets only diet? Any impact of size, shape, mortality, immunity etc? Anyone has done that?

hello, dont think that'll be any problem to it, pellets do have concentrated vitamins essential for their growth and colours too cheers

many arowana farmers feed pellets to their brooders in ponds.

Thank you for your responses. Mine on both MP and pellets. No problem for it to go vegetarian, I mean 100% pellets. One day 4 Hikari food sticks swallowed whole now.

Mine does eat the first few, the rest he chew and exit from its gill. Bad for the water quality in the long run. So it depends on each aro. Not all behave the same.

Yup, that's what it will do. The trick is to feed little but more times.

You can say that again. Big mess but if that happens I got my big EBH (a super greedy burger) clean up the bigger pieces. Then wave maker it for 10 mins and it's all clean again. But most of the time I can avoid the mess by feeding appropriately.

If it only wants to eat 10, give it 7.
Slowly increase the amount over time.
