polishing is just for aesthetics..the marble will not damage itself.
Since it will be covered, just polish the other areas. When you sell your place next time, the buyer will surely polish again as part of renovation works... Mine is on marble floor, these issues never crossed my mind. |

Marble is a "living stone" meaning it needs to be "aired" all the time...there are water vapour thats trap inside the stone that will slowly surface overtime...so if u cover it 24/7...when u remove the cover....u will find that the spot where u last polished till shinny shinny is now glazed again. |

had this freaking weird idea.... install hydrolics at the legs.... u will need minimum 6. when u wanna clean, 3 will lift and clean. once the area is cleaned. the areas covered by the hydrolics will not be cleaned. thus another 3 steps in to take over the lifting and thus the original 3 can be removed temporarily. than clean the original spot. once all clean, put the 6 legs back and lower ur tank... TADA! polishing done....
but again... thats a weird idea.... makes me think of the show mega movers.. where in US they move HOUSES |

The problem about marble polish is that water is used a medium. The whole floor area will be wet, if the cabinet is wood, then wood rot will start once water is absorb. If metal based, rusting on the leg and base will start staining the floor in the long run.

Probably decided to keep the 'living stone' rather than fish.

Wondering where is TS also...
Wanted to ask if tank is on metal stand or full cabinet. If it is full cabinet type - forget about polishing the floor ! If it is metal stand type - there are other suggestions already posted.. To me, moving a tank every 2 years - is just not conceivable... Cheerz |
