Default Divider to isolate ray

Planning to isolate my male ray from
2 bigger females as i noticed henis a little weaker and the 2 females are more active and this male is also thinner.

If i put a divider in the
Middle
Of my tank, will i encounter a problem
Maybe with ammonia? My sump return and overflow are on the same side.

The acrylic divider does have holes

if u are worried about flow can always use a cheap wave maker but in my honest opinion at the sizes your pups are not necessary to separate if no physical wounds or they are not bullying , maybe what u can do is to throw more food in at once and smaller in size which would be easier for them to eat.

thanks bro i used a light diffuser type divider.
i noticed my male is more timid? and he seems shy and eats slowly .
I've tried feeding them fish and small shrimps, but they will only eat some and not finish it? like still getting used to it?
but when i feed mp my females will finish up the mp without leftover, though the male will eat a little then just glide over the rest.
when feeding fish or small shrimp there is always some left over, is it that they are still getting used to the food? should i only feed those for the time being?
