New to rays
Thinking of starting on rays... bros please teach me the basics and my tank previously i did add salt so am i still able to add rays? and is motoro rays cheap and good for a 1st time ray keeper?

motoro is good choice for starter but about salt i am not really sure but form what i know is that ray will get burn from salt....hopefully more pro/shifu here can hlp u with that

when i 1st got my tank.. i add salt cause the pipings are glued for the sump then, i drain out most of the water but not all as i can't drain the anymore.. so i'm sure there is salt in the tank... so what should i do? please advice!

Juz cycle your tank and do water change. Like 1 week once at least 2 times to be sure that no salt content is left if ur not confident.

i have aros and barbs in the tank now.. so what i do is do wc for 2 weeks then i'm ready?

hie there. im a newbie in rays too. but what i learn is that salt should not be added to the ray as it has a chance of burning it. do WC of about 20% every week so that ur ammonia is in control and ure good to go!

dont worry, cannot add salt directly to the tank, but some salt once dissolved its ok.

rays cannot come into direct contact with salt. dissolved salt is ok.
remember to have coral chips inside the filter, they are very sensitive to ph fluatuation. remember to acclimatize the ray when first introduced into the tank or transfer to different tank even in the same hse. |
