I'm also using the one Chiu is using.

So how do you separate the unhatched eggs or empty shells from the bbs?

After the bbs is hatched, just pour it into a white container. A container like this (paper white color) :

The empty shell will float to the top, scoop them out first. Some how, with this paper white background, the hatched bbs will float to the top. Tilt the white container (white can see the hatched and unhatched bbs) say 30-40 degree angle and let the unhatched BBD settle to the bottom. The hatched BBS slowly all stay on the top. This takes about 5 mins long. The longer the better actually.

You could scoop the hatched BBS from the top and feed the fish. Of course there are some unhatched BBS, however it is to a minimum.

Cheers

Chiu, thanks for explanation. But I'm actually referring to fireblade netting.
Or are you explaining his method of filtering?

Janet, there is no separation of the eggs.. Just off the bubble, wait for the hatched BBS to settle down then siphon into the net..

Where did you get them. if holes is too large can we place 2 together and maybe the gaps will be smaller but may take longer to drain out.
