I accidentally discover this trick by chance...
if a xb has red genes then you will see something similar below~

I bought this xb as a GH (as you can see from the pix)... turn out orangey red color


The pix below, that particular fish is in the center.
This is taken few weeks later inside the same black tank, GH almost gone. With normal tank lights.

Thanks for sharing this testing method. I tried on one of my xb and the rim appears orangey red

If this method is right in telling whether a xb has red genes, it certainly tells probably most of the xb out it the market are chapalang
