I like your idea of changing the laminate of your tank to suit the Reno.

It is very original and look expensive..

Next is your fish choice.. I m equally excited like all Bros to see your tank up and running.

Update:

Finally got the time to set up my tank. Below is an update of my sump.

1st compartment: wool filter, 10kg mr aqua cr which is quite wasted as its above water, 4gallon MP sphere and 2x MP block.

2nd compartment,
4x MP block with gaps filled with MP sphere.

3rd compartment,
1layer of momotaro rods, 1tub of 4Litre Matrix, 1tub of 5kg biohome plus

Final compartment:

1x laguna 7500lph pump and 1x eheim 1260 pump

nice setup. i myself also returned to the hobby after moving to bto flat as well.

just one suggestion... take away the media from first compartment and increase your mech filtration. you can dump the media into the last compartment. trust me u'll need a lot more mech filtration for a ray comm tank and u'll save yourself a ton of time by minimizing the solid organic waste that will inevitably bypass and get trapped in the bio media.

Thanks bro for your advise. I realise the CR is redundant and took up alot of space in the 1st compartment. I took out the 2 bags of 10kg CR. and added more layers of wool filter for mechanical filtering.
