I had the same problem before. I replace the gasket which lines the filter. Bought them at NA .Works well after that. Try test in bathroom so if leak easier to clean.

Yup agreed with what Tropic sayd. Today I change the gasket of a 2228 due to water leaking from the side after that leaking problem slove.

if problem still persists can send to QH for servicing. I was charged less than 20 to replace a fault part.

if the canister have been left unuse for a very long time, the o ring and the rubber parts usually will harden and crack which doesnt provide the complete seal of the canister.

hi oikh, if your pro2 filter is leaking by the side ONLY...
you can go to C328 n buy just the o-ring n replace it..
