Default Stubborn growth on tank wall

hi bros

my tank wall has specs of growth which is very difficult to remove with a strong magnetic scrubber or even with an extended stick pipe with scraper at the end. even the 10 inch pleco doesnt appear to be able to handle it.

i never experienced this problem in my many years of fish keeping. when my pleco got murdered sometime back, the hunt for a suitably sized pleco took a while and during this time, there was what appeared to the the usual growth developing.

when the new pleco got down to biz, it left specks behind - after i tolerated it for a while, i tried to scrub it off and that's when i found out it wasnt going to be easy.

i would need to scrub like 30xs (left/right/left/right action) before only some of it would come out ie specks become smaller. there must be a better way to do this sustainably !

any ideas out there ? humble UPZ for workable ideas

thanks and cheerz

nb : my tank is 7x2.5x2.5 w 7 mid-sized aros

Used scotch brite at one small section - noticed slight scratching then i stopped. Didnt try credit card (yet) - tank too deep - need attach it securely somehow . tq

As i am a traditional shaver using safety razor and blade i usually scrap using double edge blade. No worry it wont scratch the glass at all. But careful when handling a blade.
