Default Gymnarchus niloticus

Bought him at a mere 4 incher. In about a month, hit 7 inches! Darn thats too fast for comfort.

Anyone keeping aba aba knifefish too?

When he grow big.. prepare a big tank all for himself... no tankmates as all will be killed by this smiling assassin!
I love the Aba Aba but always have to remind myself not to be fooled by that goofy smile!

Aba Aba = gg.com for tankmates.

All those pipes from ur pump are probably gonna be dead too! hahaha. But it is seriously an awesome fish to behold. Especially when large.

yeah read and heard about it. Its either I put it into a mud pond or a tank all by himself......I better start planning now.

I read that it max out at 5ft......thats huge. Never ever release into our reservoirs else thats it for the ecosystem.
