What are the sizes of the other fishes?
If they are similar size or bigger than the Aro, suggest to clear all away and keep the Aro alone. Unless, you like the rest of the fishes better than clear away the Aro |

(i) Remove the most annoying creatures from ur aro's tank
(ii) Add on powerhead to distract the rest of the tank mates (iii) Ensure all fishes are well fed |

So its not a surprise that the fishes go at each other. 2ndly, you should have read about wat fishes you can comm with a juve aro. 3rdly, you will never get to enjoy the beauty of the aro once its spooked... it'd be just another fish that will dart around and not eat for days... not to mention drop scales and torn fins... you can even expect it to land on your floor one of these days... So, first ask yourself what you want to see and enjoy... change to a bigger tank... minimum 4ft x 2ft x 2ft... Or let go the others n keep the aro... Or enjoy the others and let the aro go... |

welcome to af bro.
me think that your juvenile aro will soon outgrow the current tank. btw, please get rehome the other fish in the same tank. obviously, there is bullying. |

btw the Etroplus suratensis i have 2
one is big and one is a bit small... the big one was annoying the arowana on the first day and then leave it alone and don't come next to the arowana again... the small one i saw its every time when he close to the arowana is trying to beat her... and the arowana don't fight back only jump and move... and there is no chase or something just jump and move and keep living normally... so if i put the small one in other tank for 1 day then bring him back to the tank... its can help? |

250L water, the tank size should be around 4'x1.5'x1.5',is good enough for a 5-6" arowana with other tanks mates, arowana is growing at a faster rate then all your other tank mates, very fast it will out grow them.just add some black water should calm your arowana down.
