Ah !!! Thanks all for the comments, especially the picture !

So are they all Myloplus rubripinnis ? or they are slightly different ?

Btw, are there 2 types of Emperor Red Hooks (ERH) ?
I was told 1 type has double hook and another got single hook ??
And one of the type will grow red patches when mature ?

From what I notice my 2pairs RH and a pair ERH the female hook is W shape or look like double hooks while male is single hook. All female have red spots that look like case of bad acne while male skin is acne free. Hope that helps.

Does the female W hook only appears when it matures ? Or it can be identified when its juvenile ?

have. should be myleus hybid. shape of erh/rh with red hook but extra thick black bar that looks like someone spray black paint.

i kept them together with ebh can see they follow genes of erh/rh in term of body shape instead of ebh as they are suppose to be cross of ebh and rh.

Chance across this chat. Miss the days we always comment so here mine goes.

When keeping these hooks pls consider a big tank because they tend to get stress easily and will dash across tank and bang into the wall. Sometime they bang too hard they faint.
