regarding hairgrass
hi bros, i have a question regarding hairgrass. those that tie to a mesh tray. just bough one for my planted tank. i just put it down to my tank. question is do the mesh tray need to be underneath the soil? because i just put it down and press it gently. not deep inside. cause i scare pressing too hard will kill the grass. but i see alot of roots of the hair grass. is it ok? will the roots slowly grow into the soil? or do i have to press it down till the white parts and roots is underneath the soil?

Bro, harigrass are sold in tub form instead of mesh type.
Mind sharing a pic to see and to confirm whether its hairgrass. As I just bought a small KFC tub for $13, so I'm pretty sure its not in mesh form. Thanks |

Indeed there is hairgrass tied on mesh and also, lava rocks. They are commonly sold at C328. With regards to planting or simply shoving the mesh/rock into the substrate, I think experimenting and giving feedback here will be to the benefit of all planted enthusiasts. The ones tied on lava rocks may function as somewhat a wabikusa.
