Journey to my Blue base xback.
Sunday Morning nthing much to do, ask my younger bro want to go hunt Blue Base he say anything OK. Swee!
Text Johnny and LCK Shifu both at LCK then off we go LCK... Upon meeting Johnny, chat up with him at the same time waiting for LCK shifu. About 45mins he came, after some discussion, LCK shifu say look for blue base must go to farm that doesn't WTT their arowana then can see the orginal color. Which farm don't do WTT for their arowana, Singapore Arowan Breeding Farm lo. So off we go, upon reaching SABF... Wah the GUARD DOG so HUGE!!! Look very scary, after getting clearance then we went in, well the dog are actually very friendly. Maybe after 7pm the DOG guard mode then turn ON. First time when to a farm, the tank water all greenish and dirty but the arowana coloration very impressive ya. Now I know why genes play a big part if you looking for a quality arowana. After taking a look at the mature bluebase, then we came across a batch of young juvenile BlueBase Xback... All nice metallic blue... Then the owner came Ah this batch have potential, I also hunt for arowana for quite some time got abit of experience indeed this batch very good very different from those that I see before. They are kept in a very dirty condition tank, yet the shine of the arowana is very impressive... Ok after discussion, we start to select the best out of that batch. So 2 expert, 2 noobs... Start to choose. Swimming posture, gill coloration, pearly coloration, 2nd and 3rd row pearly (Until now still don't know how to see), Pectoral fin, Barbel, Tail fin, Shine, Body mass, eyes, scale pattern, metallic blue shine on the fish, scissor mouth. So many point to take note when choosing a arowana! Finally got one Thanks for reading |
