Default Diffuse the co2 efficiently

How to diffuse the co2 efficiently? I use co2 bell diffuser but also not 100% diffuse, hence i feed the bell near to my inlet pipe to suck all the diffused co2 tiny bubble into the cannister and pump out, is it a wise choice?

My tank size is 2 ft, think of using reactor but look very bulky and big in my tank.

I let the CO2 get sucked into the canister also. Act just like a big CO2 diffuser.

Position the CO2 at one end of the tank, halfway up the height. Position your filter outlet at the same place, opposite your tank, pointing towards your diffusor. This will make the bubbles go all over the tank.

Should be fine as long as you are not blasting your CO2!
If not, you might experience airlock in your cannister filter!
In fact, there's a diffusor by Vista using the same concept.

There are actually 2 schools to this thought.

One view is that you should have 100% dissolved CO2 to maxmize its potency.

Another school of thought, probably introduced into this thread subtlely by Terence is the misting effect, where the CO2 bubbles itself is more enriching to the plants.

It is up to you to decide which school of thought you wish to follow, but for the dissolving method, I recommend getting an external reactor to do it. Although you may not encounter airlocks, the occasional air bubbles that do get through the filter media and reach the motor will hurt it in the long run.

For my 2 footer, I use a CO2 splitter. It is kiasu but it combines the 2 schools of thoughts. 1 will be going through an external reactor while the other goes into the normal CO2 diffusor.

Anyway for a 2 footer the problems of deadspots for CO2 is not that serious. As long as you have good circulation throughout the tank, which ever method you use to achieve that 30ppm of CO2 is up to your personal preference.

I hope I didn't get too out of point, just wish to share this with you.

Hope it helps.

for the best co2 diffusing medium, i would say is external co2 reactor.

Place the external reactor in betweem the outlet hose from ur canister and the rainbar.
