Default L046 why cannot have low ph ?

believe zebra plecos live in same river as altums and discus.

just curious why they cannot live in low ph as altums and wild discus since they come from same river ?

I know common plecos also need higher ph but they are domestic bred.
thnks for advice

You wanted to keep with wild altum and discus? L46 can keep from Ph 6 to 7+. Can keep at ph 6+ for the bb to grow.

Should be able to survive but not happy. They prefer Ph 6 to 7. My concern is more on the bb. Too low bb cannot survive.

sadly I experienced this personally, less than 1 day bought .
So the other end if 7.5 or above 7 able to survive, as I cannot be so accurate to put it at 6-6.5.
thanks.

bro from 6.0 to 6.1 or 6.1 to 6.2 is not a decimal jump. Is an exponetial incremental. To us it may see a small changes but to the fish they are hugh changes. You need to have some pH buffering in place in case the pH crashed.
