Thanks all for the kind comments! I'm looking forward to setting it up too

Gush is actually my first choice lily pipes. Unfortunately GC, Freshnmarine and Fishy Business all don't have stock for the oBubble mini or oPipe mini at 13mm hose size. I'm hoping they come in stock soon. In the meantime just grow my foreground with DSM i guess. Yep, it's an Ocean Free 1L CO2 aluminium canister. UP and ISTA both carry 1L cylinders too. Thanks, decided to just do it right from the start with proper stuff. Very expensive, but quite fun also la The LED light is actually from my marine nano days. I changed the LED pad from 16000K to 8000K to make it suitable for planted. If I ever go back marine, I can just change back. I have a feeling I can't run the light at any more than 50% without triggering algae. |

Its very difficult to leave planted tank completely. once you chance upon a nice tank setup be it online or at the the lfs, you will get the itch to start one again.

Ok here's the partial setup process of the tank so far. Trying to find time after work to finish up and start DSM by today
Rinsed the tank to get rid of dirt: Oyama pasted and tanked placed on ANS mat: ADA Power Sand S 2L poured in: Cooking curry, aka base powders sprinkled in: Sides scraped out and soul poured in to ensure that base area is not visible from the front and sides: Finally, soil poured in and levelled: I will be putting in my hardscape before pouring in more soil to create a slope. Thereafter, I will be wetting the soil and planting in HC for DSM method over the next few weeks! |

Glued to the thread for updates! What flora have you planned for other than HC?
