Default Fish Tank versus Marble Floor polishing problem!

Hi

I don't know whether this is also a problem to others but this has been bugging me for a long time and I hope to seek some advice/comments here. I have long wanted to set up a big marine fish tank in my living room. Big meaning at least 5 feet X 2.5 X 2.5 feet. However, my floor is marble which I get people to polish every 2 years. The polishing is a big headache because we have to remove everything to either the bedrooms or the balcony. We have done that twice. Sofa, chairs, table and cupboard are easy but the thought of moving a fish tank is mind boggling. Perhaps we just get the tank and leave it in the living room permanently which means the area on which the tank is standing will not get polished. I am quite a fastidious person and I just cannot stand the thought of having a spot of floor not cleaned and polished. Sigh.

2 options:

- leave the fish tank dead spot not polish
Or
- ask pro helps like sgbro to empty your tank to temporary fgt , shift tank aside for you to polish the dead spot

Can use hand to polish where machines cannot reach? At least better than not polished at all.

even if you move the fish tank you still need a few hours before the floor is dry then you can move back the tank. IMO, i would let it be.

Dun be a clean freak, it's part & parcel of fish keeping. Just assume its part of wall structure

In your tank stand design, have provision for pallet jack assess. So that you can easily jack it and shift it to another location easily. Buy those jack with 1.5-2ton capacity.

Just don't polish the spot under the tank. You can't see it anyway. Besides a tank that size is not meant to be shifted around as you please.

Nice tank or nice floor. You decide.
Anyways, your tank will cover your unpolished floor so what's the problem?
When decide to give up fish keeping then polish that area.

not advisable, just leave it as it is, possible of brakage and lost of livestock is very high due to shifting if not carry out properly.

simple lah, get the floor polished and immediately place the tank. The spot covered by tank would be forever polished shine. Only thing to consider is next polish you tank base could get wet, and marble 'loss' is different.
